Last work day before the trip....

....well I haven't been able to concentrate. I don't want to work....wait isn't there a song by Todd Rungrund...oh yeah...........I'm singing it.....

I don't want to work

Every day when I get home from work
I feel so frustrated, the boss is a jerk (just kidding Cindy!)And I get backstairs, and go out through the shed
And I pound on that drum like it was the boss's head

Clothes, why is it?

...that you always seem to have enough clothes until you go on a trip and then nothing matches or fits you right or whatever........I just don't understand it.

Today is Sunday and then there's only Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and SAIL DAY!!!!!!

Packing.....

and packing....and packing.....why do I take so much stuff? Maybe because I might change my mind. If I would just not take so much I wouldn't change my mind wouldn't I .... of course then I would have the excuse of buying stuff on board because I didn't have it with me huh???? Maybe I should reconsider all the stuff I'm taking!

Warming Up!

Well the weather is warming up here in the Old Line State. And I was thinking this morning, I need to switch out my winter clothes for my summer clothes. I'm gonna need them for the trip. I had bought a bunch of dresses thinking I'd take them to Italy but I didn't because I didn't want to walk in heels so I'm thinking I'll take them with me (or at least some of them) for the cruise.

Ready to Sail...well almost

This is our ship.....I'll have one of those balcony rooms. The last cruise I had with a balcony I saw 2 very huge white sharks below. I ran to get my camera but they were gone.....darn......this year I will be ready, when I step on the balcony I will ALWAYS have my camera in my hand! :)

All this time I haven't been really focusing on this trip because I had Italy and the painting conference to concentrate on but now!!!! I'm realizing it's just 10 days away. It's been cold, rainy, dreary here. I can't wait. I absolutely love the ocean. It's where I meet God. I feel His power and prescense in the crashing of the waves.

And a cruise...well there is nothing like it. Our in the middle of the ocean with nothing around you. It makes me feel small and humbles me. I need to be reminded that I am small sometimes.

Our ports of call are: Baltimore, Maryland (our departure); San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Samana, Dominican Republic; Labadee, Haiti; Baltimore, Maryland. We have a balcony room. I just love to spend time sitting there watching the ocean.

About to Travel Again

....I'm on the countdown to my cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. I called the cruise company today because I read that the Government has put out a travel warning to US Citizens for Haiti...and that's one of our ports. The cruise company said they didn't know anything about it and planned to dock there. Not sure I want to get off that boat!

But that's fine with me. There's lots to do on a cruise ship. We got one with a balcony. I love balcony rooms. AND there's internet access so I can blog....whohoooooooooo

I was going to get rid of this blog after the Italy trip but I think I will keep it for my random chatter.

Italy photos....

....so I took a thousand (no kidding) pictures of Rome and Assisi. It's taken me a little while to go through them. Now I'm ready to upload them for all to see.

I have uploaded the first 2 days of the trip. I can't upload the rest until I return from the conference I am attending. So you can view the first 2 days now and later (Sunday or Monday) check out the rest of the trip.
